PARENT AND TODDLER

Our Parent and Toddler class is a pay as you go class suitable for walking–2½ years, although the upper age isn’t strict. This class is a fantastic introduction to dance, with many students then moving onto main school classes where they come in without their grown up. 

This unique class will look at the basic skills in dancing including working on travelling steps, some Ballet and some Modern style dance techniques. Different props such as scarves, wings, pom poms, musical instruments and ribbons will be incorporated into the lesson to add fun and excitement for your toddler. 

The hour session will include a short free play where children can run around and get their confidence with the other children, this will allow parents to meet other parents and socialise. We then do different dance activities on the floor such as stretching our legs, pointing our toes, working on different ways we can use our hands in dance and singing songs as well as working on traveling around the space freely doing movements such as skipping, walking on our tippy toes and running. Half way through there is a tea and coffee break for the parents which allows the children to regain their concentration before continuing with more dancing.
